The Last Tear
Hey guys. Moody poem here. Just a scenario. . .
I close my eyes
Refusing to cry
Refusing to admit
That you are gone.
It didn't happen
You are still here
I hear your laugh
Bright and joyful
Eyes twinkling
Telling a joke
The scene changes
You with a smile
Telling me that
All is right
But you were wrong.
All is wrong
My world upside-down
Your eyes have died
The laughter gone
The spark gone from you
No more joy to share
Or sorrows to bear
No more life.
I open my eyes
And touch your cheek
You are cold
Your skin is pale
Like a ghost.
Why?
Why did you leave me?
Sightless eyes
Staring ahead
That used to smile with love
Blank and dead
You said no
You promised to stay
To be there for me
Forever and always
My best friend
More like a brother
I never remember
A moment without you.
The tear will fall
The last tear
I ever cry
Reserved for you.
I close my eyes
Refusing to cry
Refusing to admit
That you are gone.
It didn't happen
You are still here
I hear your laugh
Bright and joyful
Eyes twinkling
Telling a joke
The scene changes
You with a smile
Telling me that
All is right
But you were wrong.
All is wrong
My world upside-down
Your eyes have died
The laughter gone
The spark gone from you
No more joy to share
Or sorrows to bear
No more life.
I open my eyes
And touch your cheek
You are cold
Your skin is pale
Like a ghost.
Why?
Why did you leave me?
Sightless eyes
Staring ahead
That used to smile with love
Blank and dead
You said no
You promised to stay
To be there for me
Forever and always
My best friend
More like a brother
I never remember
A moment without you.
The tear will fall
The last tear
I ever cry
Reserved for you.
